Parent Partnership
We have a strong belief that children will progress best if parents and teachers
work together.
Parents’ Evenings are held in the Autumn & Summer terms so that you can see your
child’s work and talk to teachers. It is very important to share information.
Reports come out in the middle of the year in the Spring Term. The children are
set targets. These are followed up in the Summer Term with an update on progress
and National Curriculum levels are reported. There are SATs test results for
Years 2 and 6.
School is strenuous and children need to arrive each morning prepared for a hard
day’s work. This means plenty of sleep, a good breakfast and a calm start to the
day. Children who arrive late, flustered and hungry usually take more time to
settle down to their work.
A newsletter is sent to each family on a weekly basis. The newsletter gives
general items of news, dates and information about school and it’s achievements.
A notice board is situated on the playground; all current notices are displayed
there, along with some community information. Further information can be found
outside the office.
You are invited to a variety of events during the school year; we value the
partnership of our parents.
