SUMMER FAYRE IN AID OF OSLOF (ORFORD SCHOOL LEAGUE OF FRIENDS) SATURDAY 5TH JULY ON RECREATION GROUND 12PM – 4PM

ARTS WEEK

Arts Week takes place next week, with a theme of ‘Carnival’. It will be own clothes all week, especially on Monday as we will be using paint will not come out of clothes. We will ensure painting shirts are worn, but cannot guarantee total coverage! HOWEVER>>>> please could Year 6 bring uniform to school on Tuesday, as it is the Yr6 leaving photo in the afternoon.

Teaching kitchen update

We are delighted to be able to announce that work begins on the kitchen on 16th June, and should be ready for the children to use at the beginning of the new academic year in September. As the first of its kind in the country in a primary school there should be press coverage. The kitchen is to be furnished with grants from SMEG, and all the food for the first year by Sainsbury’s (and possibly Jamie Oliver’s’ Nora will appear???) The project is costing £43,000, much of which we are funding from Devolved Formula Capital, a yearly grant to help with buildings and maintenance. The rest we are applying to grant-giving foundations for, appealing for donations and using the Trust Funds if absolutely necessary. OSLOF have also agreed to help with as much as possible – to this end, please see the note below and support the School Fayre in every way you can.

School Fayre – July 5th

Donations of bottle tombola, pamper tombola, little things that can be wrapped and used for the lucky dip, raffle prizes, cakes, garden produce and anything else that you may think useful! A collection box is to be put near Linda's office. Please make every effort to attend on the day as well, and encourage friends, relatives and neighbours. The more people there, the more we will raise for OSLOF funds, which ultimately will benefit your child.
